🚗 Day 1 - 7 stops

1.Delos Island

Delos Island is an indispensable part of the list of places to visit in Mykonos and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1990. According to mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. The archaeological site is closed on Mondays, but can be reached by boats departing from the old port of Mykonos on other days. Although there is an option to join guided tours, if you want to go individually you may have to pay considerably more than the price. Delos Island became a religious and political center of the islands in the 7th century BC and over time came under the rule of Athens. However, it regained its independence in 315 BC. Delos, one of the most valuable and popular archaeological sites in Greece, is visited by many tourists today. The artifacts unearthed from the excavations have made it included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. There are interesting places to explore in Delos, such as the Terrace of the Lions from the 7th century BC, the Doric Temple of Delians, the Minoan Fountain, a number of market squares and the Theater District.

2.Ano Mera Village

Ano Mera Village is a traditional village located in the center of Mykonos island. This place is not usually visited by tourists but is an ideal stop for those who want to explore the local life and culture of the island. Ano Mera is one of the largest villages on Mykonos, with whitewashed houses and narrow streets preserving the island's traditional lifestyle. In the village square, local cafes and taverns serve traditional Greek cuisine and offer visitors an authentic experience.

3.Paraportiani Church

According to the people of Mykonos, there are 365 churches on the island. However, the most famous, most popular and with the most magnificent architecture is the Church of Panagia Paraportiani. Located in the center of Mykonos town, the history of this pure white church dates back to the Byzantine period. It also attracts attention with many decorations dating back to the Middle Ages. Panagia Paraportiani Church fascinates visitors not with the works inside or its architecture, but with the unique Mediterranean view seen from the entrance door. This is one of the places where you can watch the most magnificent views on the island.
